STUDYING SLEEP AND BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS
April 19, 2000
According to Reuters Health Wire, researchers at the University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn suspect that solving sleep apnea in children may also help eliminate behavioral problems. In a study of 35 children ages 2 to 18, some parents reported that after their children's tonsils were removed to help them sleep better, their behavior also improved, particularly for children who had exhibited anxiety, depression or withdrawal before the surgery.8
